"It's like a dream come true," McGrane said about the win, "It's been my lifetime's dream to win on The European Tour and having been in it for the long haul, I'm just absolutely delighted." The Volvo Open was a European Tour event put on with the cooperation of the Asian Tour.
Liang Wenchong, fresh off of playing at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, came in at one over par to fall into a four-way tie for eighth. Lu Wen-teh, the Taiwanese veteran who won the Omega China Tour's Kunming leg last week, was three over par for 14th place.
The tournament will return next year to Beijing CBD International Golf Club, and McGrane says he will be back to defend his title.
