On Saturday, in the first game played at Beijing's renovated Workers' Stadium, the 12th and final women's team, Brazil, played its way into the women's field for the soccer (football) competition at the Beijing Olympics. On Sunday, FIFA released the draw for the men's and women's Olympic soccer tournament.

Here are the groupings for the preliminary rounds, which kick off two days before the Olympics opening ceremonies. They will be played in Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang and Qinhuangdao.

Men
Group A: Cote D'Ivoire, Argentina, Australia, Serbia
Group B: the Netherlands, Nigeria, Japan, the United States
Group C: China, New Zealand, Brazil, Belgium
Group D: the Republic of Korea, Cameroon, Honduras, Italy

Women
Group E: China, Sweden, Argentina, Canada
Group F: Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Nigeria, Germany, Brazil
Group G: Norway, the United States, Japan and New Zealand

McGrane Wins Volvo Open in Beijing

The Volvo China Open proceeded in Beijing Sunday despite the nonstop rain, with Irish golfer Damien McGrane emerging the winner. He hit a one-over-par 73 to finish nine strokes ahead of runner-up Oliver Wilson from England. China's number one player,

"It's like a dream come true," McGrane said about the win, "It's been my lifetime's dream to win on The European Tour and having been in it for the long haul, I'm just absolutely delighted." The Volvo Open was a European Tour event put on with the cooperation of the Asian Tour.

Liang Wenchong, fresh off of playing at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, came in at one over par to fall into a four-way tie for eighth. Lu Wen-teh, the Taiwanese veteran who won the Omega China Tour's Kunming leg last week, was three over par for 14th place.

The tournament will return next year to Beijing CBD International Golf Club, and McGrane says he will be back to defend his title.
